As the proclaimed ‘Live Music Capital of The World,’ WCATX is bringing a musical element to WordCamp this year! We want to bring the opportunity to showcase the musical talents of the members of the WordPress community across the globe through performances between sessions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Q: Will I need to submit an audition?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes! In order, to be considered for a musical slot, we\u2019ll need to see your talents. You can submit an audition video or perform live for the organizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Q: Will the performance be live-streamed or pre-recorded?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Depends on what you are comfortable with! If you decide to do it live, we will give you extensive technical support when you give your performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Q: What if I\u2019m not a professional musician?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We don\u2019t expect you to be! We know that lots of WordPress community members have \u201chidden talents,\u201d something they don\u2019t normally get to express on a daily basis. We want you to be able to showcase any sort of musical ability you have, as a novice or a pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Q: What if I\u2019m a singer? Does that count?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Absolutely! We want to hear from singers, beat-boxers, rappers, and anything else you can think of that isn\u2019t a traditional \u201cinstrument.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Q: How long will my performance be?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are hoping you\u2019ll be able to perform anywhere from 2-5 songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Q: Do I need to perform original songs, or can I perform covers, too?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n You can perform both! Covers, originals, or a mix. Totally up to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Q: How do I submit my application?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Just fill out the form at the bottom of this page!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Q: Is there a deadline to submit my application?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes.
