Taylor Christensen

I’m a custom theme and plugin developer passionate about community building and education. I’ve led several WP workshops for students through our WPATX Meetup Group, in addition to previous local WordCamps. I’m looking forward to going over all the basics of WordPress, themes, plugins, and maybe even a little CSS, at this year’s KidsCamp!

Sharon DeCaro

WebDev + Design + DigitalMarketing. Social Connector, Data Gatherer & Dog Lover. If you need an answer, I’ll find it. I’m an AIGA-member Graphic Designer, with a unique balance of creative and business expertise. I also have a B.A. in Marketing. I fell in love with WordPress nearly a decade ago and love that the community is a lively one, where you can easily get involved. I designed the logo for WordCamp Austin. Sandi Batik

WordPress evangelist, consultant, trainer, curricula developer, author, unapologetic geek, unrepentant capitalist, and lucky enough to do what I love every day. I co-founded Pleiades Publishing Services in 1992 where I serve as Project Manager and support our clients’ Project Discovery sessions as a Business Process Analyst. I have served as an Austin WordPress Meetup co-organizer since 2010 and write about WordPress at https://handsonwp.com/. You can follow me @sandi.batik / #WPATX.

I love belonging to a community of life-long learners who so willingly share their knowledge with each other. WordPress Developers share a comradery that supports each other through thick, thin and some upgrades that are positively baffling.

Nick Batik

Nick Batik co-founded Pleiades Publishing Services in 1992, has been building websites since 1994 and has been a WordPress consultant and developer since 2007.  A WordPress Evangelist, and a CoOrganizer of the Austin WordPress Meetup, he has presented technical WordPress classes at numerous meetups, PodCamps and WordCamps. Nick specializes the system design and implementation of custom, often complex WordPress-based solutions that address client data management issues. As the back-end developer, he creates the core computational logic of the website or information system to implement the customized functionality.

I love the almost infinite versatility of WordPress. It is a platform that can grow with our client’s needs.

Cousett Hoover

Cousett is a full time mommy and techiemamma.

By day, Cousett works to maintain the business and is wrangling an active toddler. In her (little) free time Cousett contributes to the WordPress communities and develops PHP applications with Ryan.

Ryan Hoover, Lead Organizer

By day, Ryan is a Senior Web Developer for WP Engine, a WordPress hosting company. By night, Ryan writes WordPress plugins and PHP applications for the WordPress online community.

Many moons ago, Ryan got a Bachelors degree in Computer Science. Half a decade ago, he finished a Ph.D. in Technical Communication. That means that Ryan has a rare combination of technical and personal skills.
