A blind WordPress plug-in developer and an advocate and consultant on web accessibility. Many of the accessibility limitations in WordPress can be easily overcome, with a little knowledge for end users of the WordPress site. Not as true for the blind developer of a WordPress site. My WordPress developer friend says to me when I ask them a WordPress question, &#8220;What is missing on the dash board?&#8221; I laugh and respond, &#8220;Well I don&#8217;t hear my screen reader speaking half of the things your mentioning but maybe I just haven&#8217;t found them yet.&#8221; I give this response as I think to myself, &#8220;If I knew what was missing, it would be missing.&#8221; Knowing of course that my friend is trying to assist I keep this thought to myself.
