Just a few years ago, Responsive Web Design was introduced as an approach to developing websites that could be displayed on a variety of desktop and mobile devices with many screen sizes and resolutions. Devices now entering the market, software, the types and scale of information, and radical changes in user expectations are all introducing new, unique, and complex sets of problems. Every area of the industry will be affected — design, code development, UI/UX, and even more basic definitions of “what is a website”, and “what is content.” This session will cover the current design philosophy of Response Design, the challenges we are now facing, and the ones the lie ahead, along with an approach to addressing these issues. Both developers and theme designers should learn a lot from this conversation.
