“Content is King.” Today this phrase is tossed around a lot to describe online content. But what exactly does it mean? For starters, it means quality. For the past decade, some bloggers have focused on areas other than quality — such as keyword stuffing and link-baiting, believing these tactics were the fast-track to success. But these tactics won’t cut it now thanks to Google’s algorithm updates and reader’s growing weariness with low-quality content. Now Google is looking for natural, in-depth, and high-quality content. What’s more, humans are also looking for quality information. They want to find the good stuff in the ever-growing pile of words. This session will walk bloggers through nine ways they can give their content the royal treatment — and create blog posts that both humans and robots will love. Insights shared will include understanding how concepts like journalism, storytelling, point-of-view, and good old-fashioned grammar relate to creating the best possible blog content today.
